Gov’t Mule’s Island Exodus destination event in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, continued last night, and frontman Warrren Haynes took to the stage with a solo set that was highlighted by a parade of special guests throughout.

The set featured several Haynes originals along with some choice covers including Bob Dylan’s “Master of War.” The sit ins began with saxophonist Ron Holloway joining in for “A Friend to You.” Holloway would then stay onstage as Nicki Bluhm emerged to duet with Haynes on Stevie Nicks and Don Henly’s “Leather & Lace,” while Bluhm and Gov’t Mule’s Danny Louis helped out on Haynes’ debuts of “Desperado” and Bluhm’s own “Leaving on a Jet Plane.”

Louis would then stick around for a two-song highway theme with “King’s Highway” and “Key to the Highway,” the latter tune featuring guitarist Eric Krasno, who’s playing with Soulive at the destination event. The encore brought back all the various guests, as Krasno, Bluhm, Louis and Holloway all pitched in to close out with The Allman Brothers Band’s “Soulshine.”
