Prophets of Rage returned to host an Anti-Inaugural Ball in Los Angeles last night and the night was highlighted by an appearance from Chris Cornell as he joined his Audioslave band members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk for their first performance in 12 years.

Cornell joined the band for three songs in the set, held at the Teregram Ballroom, for “Cochise,” “Like a Stone” and “Show Me How to Live.”

Formed in 2001, Audioslave marked a collaboration between Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden as Cornell fronted the group following the disbanding of RATM. They would go on to release three studio albums before disbanding due to “irresolvable personality conflicts” in the group.
