This weekend, The Rock and Roll Playhouse will present a family-friendly concert tribute to the Allman Brothers Band in honor of the late founding drummer Butch Trucks, who passed away on Tuesday.

RRPH released a statement on the event, which will take place Garcia’s at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, on January 28, saying, “We will dance, we will play, we will laugh, and we will probably cry a few tears. Though bittersweet, we intend to celebrate the music of Butch’s legacy with a beautiful tribute. We hope you’ll join us. Butch will play on in our hearts forever.”

The Rock and Roll Playhouse provides music events at Brooklyn Bowl and Garcia’s venue, welcoming children and families to come together to celebrate the power of music. More information on the organization can be found here.
