New York singer-songwriter Steve Urban has shared a new video for his song “Remember the Wetlands,” inspired by the now-closed NYC music venue that was a jamband staple in the ’90s.

Urban filmed the video with director Mack Bradley around the actual wetlands in their hometown of Manhasset, NY, on Long Island, when they were inspired to help clean up the area.

“I picked up and cleaned up all the plastic bottles and we recycled them. Because that is what I’m singing about and that’s a major part of what the spirit of The Wetlands was and is about to me,” Urban says. “There was something more to this place then just the music. It also had a message! And for me that message was that it is important to take care of our environment and this planet EARTH for future generations. Even though the nightclub closed and is not physically there, thankfully, the spirit of The Wetlands lives on!”
