A statement posted to Facebook confirms that for the second straight year, Gathering of the Vibes will not be happening.

“As you know, the music festival landscape is rapidly evolving,” the statement read. “And with that evolution comes greater competition that is far more challenging for smaller, independent festivals like the Vibes. It is with this in mind that I have made the difficult decision to not move forward with Vibes in 2017.”

While nothing was promised for the 2018 edition of the long-running Bridgeport, CT festival, the statement did note that numerous smaller festivals in the area will be offering discounted tickets to members of the Vibes community.
