Continuing their year celebrating their 50th anniversary, The Meters will once again come together with their original four members for a special anniversary celebration at New Orleans’ Orpheum Theater on April 29, prior to their Jazz Fest closing performance on May 7.

Art Neville, George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli and Zigaboo Modeliste will again be joined by Ivan Neville supporting on keyboards for the evening, along with a horn section featuring Tracy Griffin, Jeff Albert, Khris Royal and Clarence Johnson III, plus more surprise guests.

Last year, The Meters played the Orpheum and welcomed several special guests, including Warren Haynes, Grace Potter, Bernie Worrell and Trombone Shorty. Last month, the quartet played two sets on Jam Cruise 15 and were joined by Cyril Neville, Erica Falls, Kamasi Washington, the Shady Horns, members of the Soul Rebel Horns and more.
