Vermont mandolin player Jamie Masefield sat in with moe. last night. The Jazz Mandolin Project leader emerged near the end of the group’s first set at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground for a take on the classic “Happy Hour Hero.” Masefield remained onstage at the song segued into “Silver Sun,” a song from moe.‘s 2014 album No Guts, No Glory. Masefield has performed with moe. a number of times during the years and also collaborated with the members of the group in a variety other settings.

In other moe. news, the group busted out a cover of Tori Amos’ “Cornflake Girl” at Jim Thorpe, PA’s Penn’s Peak on Thursday night. The band had not performed the song since February 12, 2012.

moe.‘s winter tour continues at Northampton, MA’s Calvin Theatre this evening.
