The Grateful Dead’s May 1977 show at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, is widely regarded as one of the band’s top moments, and now the recording is receiving the vinyl treatment with the box set Get Shown the Light, an 11-disc collection set for release on May 5, Rolling Stone reports.

The show took place on May 8 of that year at Cornell’s Barton Hall and featured the band at the height of one of their classic eras, delivering memorable renditions of Dead favorites like “Brown Eyed Women,” “Scarlet Fire” > “Fire On the Mountain,” “Saint Stephen” with “Not Fade Away,” a “One More Saturday Night” encore and more. See the full setlist from that night and listen to an archived recording below.

Rolling Stone also previewed the release with one of the most revered takes of the show, the second-set closer of “Morning Dew,” which can also be streamed below. Dead archivist David Lemieux calls the performance “quite possibly one of the Grateful Dead’s best-ever live performances, singularly focused on achieving the cathartic, frenzied release of the climax of this song.”

Along with the 11-disc box set, which also contains three more 1977 concerts from May 5, 7 and 9, the May 8 show will also be available as a 5-LP or 3-CD package. Pre-order the Get Shown the Light and Cornell 5/8/77 collections here. The set will also be available for download on May 5.
