ALO closed their annual Tour d’Amour with three shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco played over two days, with the second show coming in the form of a kids matinee prior to the night-time finale.

On opening night, the band offered up a celebration of their 2007 album Roses and Clover, performed in full in honor of its tenth anniversary along with bonus tracks from the record’s release including “Country Camper” and “Haji Me Mashite.”

During that show, the band welcomed out Moon Hooch for “Lady Loop” in the second set and also delivered covers of New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle” and Curtis Mayfield’s “So In Love.”

Following the kids matinee, which included Ari Gorman on cello for the Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine” as well as Meters (“They All Asked For You”) and Woody Guthrie (“This Land is Your Land”) covers, ALO took the stage for the finale that included appearances from Jen Hartswick and opening band Twiddle.

Hartswick first joined the fold early on for Erma Franklin’s “Piece of My Heart,” adding vocals to the tune. Twiddle would appear much later on for the second set-closing run through “BBQ” which forayed into Prince’s “1999” before returning to form. The band returned for a one-song encore of the Turtles’ “Happy Together” before calling it a night.
