Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival confirmed last night that its website was the victim of a hack, with information about users registered on its website reportedly compromised.

Coachella requires users to sign up on the website in order to purchase tickets, meaning that financial information lies within the site. The festival issued a statement via Pitchfork that noted hackers “illegally gained access to the usernames, first and last names, shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth of individuals provided to Coachella.” The statement did mention that no user passwords were stolen and no financial information was accessed.

“Please be aware that you may be targeted by phishing emails sent from people impersonating Coachella personnel. Please remember that Coachella will never solicit personal information or account information from you via email,” the statement continued. “We have taken measures to block further unauthorized access, and reported the matter to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.”

Coachella will kick off its first weekend on April 14.
