Trombone Shorty has announced he will release a new album with Orleans Avenue, Parking Lot Symphony, on April 28, marking the New Orleans artist’s debut effort for Blue Note Records.

The new record features 10 new originals and two covers, Allen Toussaint’s “Here Come the Girls” and The Meters’ “It Ain’t No Use.” The band has released their version of Toussaint’s song, which can be heard below. Parking Lot Symphony is available for pre-order here.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue are also on the road, playing tonight in Santa Fe, NM, before opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers for a few shows in Los Angeles next week. The band will also play album release parties at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on April 24 and at their annual Treme Threauxdown in New Orleans on April 29. See their full tour information here.
