Former Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons reunited with his old bandmate Eddie Vedder at Key Arena in the singer’s native Seattle as Irons is opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers on their Getaway tour.

Irons welcomed Vedder on stage to lead vocals on Pink Floyd’s “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” which you can watch above as Irons plays a one-man-band type show with the accompaniment of Vedder’s vocals.

The reunion comes just a few days after Pearl Jam issued a statement regarding their upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. While only original drummer Dave Krusen and current drummer Matt Cameron will be inducted, the band did invite past drummer Irons, Dave Abbruzzese and Matt Chamberlain to the ceremony.

Also worth noting: While Vedder didn’t emerge for the Chili Peppers’ set, the band did offer up a cover of Malfunkshun’s “Until the Ocean,” a tune from the band formerly fronted by the late Andy Wood, who helmed Mother Love Bone featuring future Pearl Jam members Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard.
