To mark the 20th anniversary of Phish’s very own ice cream flavor Phish Food from Ben & Jerry’s, the band released select tracks from their launch show at the Flynn Theater in Burlington, VT. Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro first dug up highlights of the March, 18, 1997 performance from an EP drawn from the intimate performance around the show’s 10th anniversary.

The show marked their final Burlington performance to date, although the group did play Winnoski and Coventry, VT in 2004 as well as a stop at Essex Junction in 2011. Among the tracks featured are an intro of Ben and Jerry at the beginning of the show as well as a “Cars Trucks Buses” with Dave Grippo on saxophone and James Harvey on trombone. Grippo and Harvey also join the fold for “Character Zero” before the Phish debut of “I Told You So” with Tammy Fletcher on vocals.
