Forty years after The Grateful Dead Movie made its premiere, chronicling the band’s five-night farewell to San Francisco’s Winterland in 1974, the film will return to theaters on April 20 for one night only in celebration of the anniversary.

Along with the film, audiences will also be shown a clip from the upcoming Grateful Dead documentary Long Strange Trip directed by Amir Bar-Lev and produced by Martin Scorsese as well as a clip from a never-before-seen mini-documentary about the band’s legendary May 8, 1977 show at Cornell University which includes interviews of fans who were in attendance.

Tickets for screenings of the film can be purchased online here or at participating box offices. Over 500 movie theaters in Fathom Events’ Digital Broadcast Network will be screening the film for one night only. For a complete list, click here.
