Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds continued their European tour last night with a stop in Dublin, Ireland as they welcomed Carlos Varela to the fold for “Muros y Puertas” towards the end of the show.

Varela first entered Matthews’ world in November of 2016 when the two came together at New York’s Frederick P. Rose Hall for the “Seasons of Cuba” show that saw Matthews play solo and with Varela on the very tune they played last night in Dublin. They would again cross paths in Washington, DC at The Hamilton for a show at the Center for Democracy in America. Matthews joined Varela’s band for a number of tunes including some of his own, like “#41” and “Save Me.”

Last night’s Dave and Tim performance of “Muros y Puertas” marked the first for the acoustic duo with Varela. Their tour continues tomorrow night in the Netherlands.
