Paul McCartney confirmed in an interview with BBC Radio 6’s Matt Everitt, via Billboard, that he is in fact in the middle of working on a new album.

Produced by Greg Kurstin, McCartney noted that the two worked together on a piece of music he produced for an animated film. “And since then he went on to wor with Beck and got best album of the year,” McCartney said of Kurstin who produced Beck’s new single “Dreams” along with records from The Shins, Adele and Sia.

“Greg is musical and he’s great to work with,” McCartney added.

While there is no release date or name for the project, McCartney will hit the road later on in April for a run through Japan.
