Joe Russo’s Almost Dead welcomed a pair of recent fill-ins on stage for their set at Fool’s Paradise as Jeff Chimenti sat in for Marco Benevento and bassist Oteil Burbridge (who manned the bass during the band’s recent second weekend of shows at Brooklyn Bowl) joined the fold for a few tunes.

The roughly two-hour set included takes on “Good Lovin,” “Ruben & Cherise,” “Not Fade Away,” “Loser” and “The Eleven” before Burbridge emerged to help the band close the set (Almost Dead bassist Dave Dreiwitz alternated between helping Russo on the drum kit and playing bass) with “Dancing in the Streets,” “Brown Eyed Women” and “I Know You Rider.”

Almost Dead’s tour continues later this month with an April 28 show in Denver, CO.
