George Porter Jr. Joins Bob Weir in New Orleans
Bob Weir continued his tour with the Campfire Band last night in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre as Weir and the band were joined by NOLA’s own George Porter Jr.
The bassist emerged late in the second set for takes on “Sugaree” and “Bird Song” before departing, allowing the band to wrap up the Dead-heavy set with “China Cat Sunflower” and “I Know You Rider.”
The tour continues tonight once again in New Orleans.
