Bob Marley & the Wailers’ classic 1977 album Exodus will receive a deluxe 40th anniversary reissue this summer, with Marley’s son Ziggy curating a “restatement” version of the record dubbed Exodus 40 – The Movement Continues.

As Rolling Stone notes, Ziggy’s contributions come from his dives into his father’s original studio recordings of the album, in which he found previously unknown vocal tracks, instrumentation, improvisation and more. Ziggy also gathered musicians to provide new backing to songs like “Turn Your Lights Down Low.”

The 40th anniversary releases will be available in separate waves, with the first packages arriving on June 2, one day before the official 40th anniversary of Exodus‘ 1977 release. The first three packages are comprised of a two-CD edition with the original album plus Ziggy’s “restatement,” a three-CD version that also includes Exodus Live and a limited edition gold vinyl of the original record. The fourth “super deluxe” package will consist of four LPs, including a Punk Reggae Party vinyl that features an extended “Keep on Moving” and two Wailers singles.
