Electron, featuring The Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner as well as Lotus’ Mike Greenfield and Almost Dead’s Tom Hamilton, brought their collaborative show to New York’s Highline Ballroom on Friday night.

Hamilton opened the show with his own American Babies before joining his Electron bandmates for a set that included an opening nod to the Grateful Dead with “Shakedown Street.” In addition, the ensemble rolled through Marc Brownstein’s rock opera dubbed Chemical Warefare Brigade.

Electron debuted the opera in 2000 and The Disco Biscuits have also performed it over the years, most recently at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve 2013. Electron recently played it in March at the Barkley Ballroom in Frisco, CO.
