Jason Isbell will release his new album with the 400 Unit, The Nashville Sound, on June 16, and the second single from the effort, “Cumberland Gap,” was premiered to day via Noisey.

Following rocking lead single “Hope the High Road,” Isbell and company continue in that high-energy vein with the uptempo “Cumberland Gap,” which the singer-songwriter calls “a tribute to the children of coal mining regions. This song is about working class desperation, really.”
