Pennsylvania’s Ardmore Music Hall is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary Summer of Love with several concert offerings that will tribute the iconic music of the ’60s like the Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Jefferson Airplane and the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival.

The festivities kick off on May 18 with a show featuring The Airplane Family & Friends, which includes alumni of Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Hot Tuna Darby Slick, Slick Aguilar and Peter Kaukonen, along with Live Dead ’69, which features former Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten and RatDog’s Mark Karan recreating the band’s classic live album.

On June 3, Beatles tribute act Newspaper Taxis will perform Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in full to celebrate the album’s 50th anniversary, with opening act Bird Watcher playing tunes from Beatles members’ solo projects.

On June 9 and 10, Wavy Gravy will be the guest of honor for Unlimited Devotion: A Weekend of Goodness, a two-day Rex Foundation benefit which will include a screening of new Dead documentary Long Strange Trip, a poster art exhibition and music from bands comprised of members of The String Cheese Incident, The Disco Biscuits, moe., RatDog, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and more.

Finally, on June 17, the venue will present Ardmore Pop, a tribute to the legendary 1967 Monterey Pop Music Festival that will recreate that festival’s performances of Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, The Byrds and more.
