Nicole Atkins will release her new album, Goodnight Rhonda Lee, on July 21, and the newest track from the album was premiered today via NPR, along with an accompanying video.

As Atkins tells NPR, “Listen Up” is about getting past past mistakes and moving on. “It’s basically, ‘Don’t be your own worst enemy. Surround yourself with good people and let them help you,’” she says. The video comically portrays Atkins bedridden and forced to watch embarrassing home videos of herself. Atkins is currently out on tour, playing next at Nashville’s Musicians Corner on May 26.
