Bert Holman, the manager for the Allman Brothers in the early 80s and since 1991, spoke to Billboard about potential archival releases in the wake of Gregg Allman’s passing, noting that there

“We’ll keep putting things out as long as there’s an appetite for it,” he said. Among those in process, six shows from 2003 as well as a package featuring multiple shows from the original Allmans lineup at the Fillmore West.

Additionally, the ABB’s famed July 19, 2005 show at the Warner Theatre in Earie, PA is also under consideration for release as well as a late-era Fresno, CA show and the band’s final show which took place October 28, 2014 at the Beacon Theatre in New York.

Holman also noted that management plan to consult former ABB guitarist Jack Pearson on a show from his tenure to release. “We’ll ask Jack for his memory, any nights that stood out in his mind as a player.” He also mentioned that those involved in the decision process include music industry exec Bill Levenson as well as Warren Haynes. “Warren has an encyclopedic mind about shows, certain song performances. He makes sure we get things right.”

As for his last interactions with Gregg, Holman noted that Allman “had been deteriorating for a while; he just kept it private.” He added, “He didn’t want people calling, didn’t want to see stuff on TV. He wanted dignity, and fortunately he was able to do that. I think it’s great he died peacefully at home rather than hooked up in a hospital room with tubes.”
