Dave Matthews kicked off the second leg of his acoustic tour with Tim Reynolds earlier this week, and the duo stopped in Alpharetta, GA, just a couple hours away from where Gregg Allman will be laid to rest in Macon, GA.

Fittingly, Matthews honored his past collaborations with Allman with a cover of “Melissa” during the show. Matthews and Allman had performed the song a number of times over the years, dating back to 2007 when the ABB founding member joined DMB on stage at Piedmont Park in Atlanta. A couple of nights later, Matthews returned the favor, teaming up with Warren Haynes and Allman during his set for the same song. Allman again joined DMB in 2009, first in April at Madison Square Garden and then during a brief opening stint for the band later on that summer, collaborating for the final time in Little Rock, AR.

Watch below. Matthews and Reynolds continue their tour tomorrow, June 2, with the first of two shows at The Mann Center in Philadelphia, PA.
