This summer’s bicoastal Classic East and West festivals will feature an impressive collection of iconic acts, and one of them, Eagles, have confirmed that they will be playing the two festivals with guests Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmit recently spoke about the band’s decision to continue to play without late founding member Glenn Frey, and he also touched on the addition of Frey’s son Deacon, saying, “He has been diligent in studying what needs to be done, and we’re confident this will work out nicely. In fact, before we started playing a note, I asked him directly if he was up to the task, and he replied that he was.”

Classic East and West are set for July 15–16 at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium and July 29–30 at New York City’s Citi Field. The festivals will feature music from Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Journey, Earth Wind & Fire and The Doobie Brothers.
