Bruce Springsteen is planning on taking over a Broadway theater this fall and bringing his arena-ready act to a considerably smaller stage, a source reportedly revealed to the New York Post.

The Boss is apparently playing an eight-week residency at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which last hosted the musical Amélie. “He wants to play a smaller house,” the Post‘s source says. “He wants to try something more intimate, and he likes the idea of being on Broadway.”

The run will see Springsteen play five nights per week, probably starting in November, though dates have not been set as of now. The Post also notes that there are rumors Springsteen is planning on bringing his recent memoir, Born To Run, to the Broadway stage as well, with this fall run acting as a sort of precursor to that project.
