Tomorrow, June 21, marks the Summer Solstice and the beginning of a new season, and an impressive gathering of California-based musicians will gather in San Francisco to celebrate the event with a day of music dubbed the Surrealistic Summer Solstice Jam.

Leading the way will be musical director Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz and house band Moonalice, and the event will also feature music from Steve Kimock, Melvin Seals, RatDog’s Jay Lane and Mark Karan, Jefferson Airplane’s Jack Casady, “Spirit in the Sky” songwriter Norman Greenbaum, The Chambers Bros., Grahame Lesh, Jason Crosby and more, including members of Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother & The Holding Company, ALO and California Honeydrops, among others.

The free concert will also celebrate the longest day of the year with a light show paired with the music. Surrealistic Summer Solstice will take place at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers tomorrow evening, June 21. More information can be found here.
