Tonight, Dead & Company bring their summer tour to Citi Field in Queens, NY, and a NYC icon will join in the fun and treat fans to a very special visual show, as the Empire State Building will be synchronizing its lights with the concert’s encore from across the East River.

The legendary building’s LED lights at the top of it’s tower will be controlled by veteran lighting designer Marc Brickman, who has worked on tour with Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Hans Zimmer and many more. Brickman was also behind the Empire State Building’s synchronization with the 4th of July Fare Thee Well concert in Chicago in 2015. Brickman’s light show will occur approximately around 11pm and will reportedly be the first time the lights have been “deployed ‘without a net.’”

For those who aren’t attending the Dead & Co. concert, iHeartMedia New York’s Q104.3 radio station and iHeartRadio streaming service will be broadcasting the encore live to synchronize with the Empire State Building’s lights.
