Dead & Company visited another one of America’s baseball stadiums with their stop at Citi Field in New York last night. The show was highlighted by a debut of the Jerry Garcia tune “Comes a Time” led by Oteil Burbridge on vocals as he continues to expand his role in the band.

Burbridge led the band on the Reflections tune in the middle of the second set following an opening segment of “Scarlet Begonias,” “Viola Lee Blues” and “Estimated Prophet.”

Earlier in the night, Dead & Co. once again delivered “Dancing in the Street,” one of their newer debuts this year. John Mayer and Bob Weir led the proceedings on “Jack Straw” before all got involved on tunes like “Here Comes Sunshine,” “Tennessee Jed” and the Mayer-led “Cold Rain and Snow” before the first set closing combo of “Bird Song” and an earlier-than-usual “One More Saturday Night.”

While typically reserved for the encore, “Saturday Night” closed the first set and instead Dead & Company delivered “Touch of Grey” and their first cover of “Johnny B. Goode” since July 26, 2016.

The band’s tour continues tonight in Camden, NJ.
