Along with the previously announced celebration of Jerry Garcia’s 75th birthday at Brooklyn Bowl, four additional cities will mark the famed musician’s birthday with musical celebrations on August 1.

In Los Angeles, the Teragram Ballroom will host a performance from Grateful Shred and Friends while Higher Ground in Burlington will feature their own celebration of Garcia’s birthday. At Basement East in Nashville, a collection of musicians will come together to explore the Garcia songbook on a night dubbed “Ain’t No Place I’d Rather Be” taken, appropriately, from “Tennessee Jed.”

Nashville’s celebration will span two nights with the second coming on August 2. Finally, on August 6 San Francisco will celebrate their annual Jerry Day with Melvin Seals and the JGB, Stu Allen & Mars Hotel and Midnight North all appearing.
