David Gans, musician and host of The Grateful Dead Hour, has launched a new crowdfunding campaign to help raise money to finish his new studio album, titled Drop the Bone.

Over at the album’s Indiegogo page, those interested in helping out can pre-order a digital download of the album, signed copies and more.

On the album, Gans writes that the effort “covers the various corners of my weird musical universe.” The title of the album refers to a phrase Gans learned from his “spiritual advisor,” Carolyn “Goldie” Rush. According to Gans, it means “Stop gnawing on your troubles all the time. Get your shit together and get on with it.”
