A look back at last year’s collaboration

Last July 4 when the String Cheese Incident performed at Chastain Park in Atlanta, Rhonda Thomas joined the group on vocals for versions of “Signed Sealed Delivered (I’m Yours),” “Believe,” “Sweet Spot,” “Funky Duck” and “America The Beautiful.” On Saturday as the group closed out this year’s two-night stand at the venue, Thomas emerged once again, singing lead on covers of John Fogerty’s “Proud Mary” (later popularized by Tina Turner) and Michael Jackson’s “Wanna be Startin’ Something.” This was the group’s debut take on “Proud Mary” and the first time they had performed the Thriller tune since 3/12/11. The entire setlist appears below, drawn from our Box Scores section.
