The inaugural Great Lawn Festival was slated to kick off this weekend in Chicago as the two-day event boasted a lineup that featured the likes of Greensky Bluegrass, Dr. Dog, Houndmouth, Hard Working Americans and others. The festival confirmed yesterday that it is in fact cancelled.

No reason was given for the cancellation although many have speculated that low ticket sales contributed to the decision. The two-day festival was going to take place at UIC’s Harrison Field beginning on Saturday.

Refunds will be automatically issued to credit card holders by TicketFly.
