Yonder Mountain String Band played a total of five sets at this past weekend’s Northwest String Summit at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, OR, and the bluegrass and folk outfit welcomed several of their friends at the fest to help them out throughout, including members of Greensky Bluegrass, Danny Barnes, Sierra Hull and more.

Kicking off on Friday with a two-set performance, Yonder first brought up Hull on mandolin and Ethan Jodziewicz on bass for “Kentucky Mandolin” in the first set. Darol Anger later joined the band on fiddle, along with Greensky dobro player Anders Beck, for “All the Time.” The second set featured more Anger fiddle on “Traffic jam” and “New Dusty Miller,” along with “Angel” and Talking Heads’ “Girlfriend is Better,” which also featured cellist Rashad Eggelston.

On Saturday, Yonder returned with another two sets, both of which featured guests Jay Elliot on drums and Asher Fulero on keyboards, filling out the band with the same lineup that covered all of Pink Floyd’s Animals at last year’s String Summit. This year’s performance nodded to that show by featuring Pink Floyd tunes like “One of These Days,” “Fearless” and “Run Like Hell.”

Yonder’s Summit rounded out with a one-set show on Sunday, which saw Anger return with his fiddle for the entire set. Danny Barnes also brought up his banjo for much of the latter-half of the set, along with Greensky’s Dave Bruzza and Mike Bont.

See all of Yonder’s Summit setlist below, along with one of their Pink Floyd collaborations with Elliot and Fulero.
