moe. played a late-night show at New York’s PlayStation Theater last night after Phish’s Baker’s Dozen-opening performance at Madison Square Garden, and the two-set performance marked the first since the band announced an indefinite hiatus following bassist and singer Rob Derhak’s cancer diagnosis.

Appropriately, moe. dug into Derhak’s songwriting catalog, playing several tunes penned and led by the bassist. The second set was particularly Derhak-themed, as the band opened with his reflective “Deep This Time” and also featured Derhak’s band staples “Timmy Tucker” and “Rebubula.” For what turned out to be an emotional encore, moe. covered Leonard Cohen’s classic “Hallelujah.”

See the full setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section. Before Derhak’s treatment begins early next month, moe. will play one more show, at Idaho’s Huckleberry Jam next week. The band will also keep their date with Phil Lesh at Lockn’ Festival next month.
