Tom Marshall assembled the Amfibian Allstars for a show at Irving Plaza in New York that included a slew of covers along with some originals from the group.

Among the highlights, opening covers of “Not Fade Away” and “Wolfman’s Brother” before several originals written by Marshall as well as Cal Kehoe and Anthony Krizan. Marshall joined in on vocals for the following Amfibian originals “Bystander” and “Skip” while also remaining out on Phish’s “Theme From the Bottom” and “Gumbo.”

For “Gumbo,” Marshall and the band were also joined by Rob Compa of Dopapod and Richard James of Pink Talking Fish. The two remained out for a foray into the Dead’s catalog on “Scarlet Begonias” and “Fire on the Mountain.” The show then wrapped up with a return to Phish’s catalog on “Sand” and a Talking Heads cover of “Psycho Killer.”
