Primus’ tour made a stop at Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony over the weekend, and the band closed out their performance by welcoming out an old friend in Mickey Melchiondo, a.k.a. Dean Ween.

The collaboration came at the end of a three-song encore, when the band played their staple “Southbound Pachyderm” with Melchiondo helping out. Deaner has previously said that Claypool helped him through Ween’s recently ended hiatus, and the two friends nearly had a fishing show together, a project that never quite got off the ground.

Primus continue their tour tonight at Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI.
