Arcade Fire headlined The Metro in Chicago as a pre-Lollapalooza even with the band previewing songs from their new album Everything Now as well as some choice originals and covers.

Among the highlights, the tour debut of classic “Keep the Car Running” followed by two live debuts including the Everything Now cut “Good God Damn” as well as a cut from the band’s Her soundtrack contribution, “Dimensions.”

The rest of the show featured many of the band’s best known songs like “The Suburbs,” “Ready to Start” and “Sprawl II” along with the finale of “Wake Up.” The group returned for a surprise second encore, this time a cover of John Lennon’s “Mind Games” featuring snippets of Radiohead’s “Karma Police,” Bowie’s “Oh! You Pretty Things” and their own “Wake Up.”

Arcade Fire will headline Lollapalooza tonight.
