Gov’t Mule continued their run through the South with a stop at the Roxy in Atlanta which featured a collaboration with Ike Stubblefield, who popped up sporadically throughout the show to join the band.

Stubblefield’s first appearance came in the second set for a “Freeway” jam that included a brief tease of “Les Brers.” Stubblefield then joined Mule for the encore, a cover of “Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody’s Home” that also included a brief snippet of The Beatles’ “Hard Day’s Night.”

This run continues to be a guest-laden stretch for Mule as they previously welcomed members of Galactic earlier in the week for various covers including an August 1 show where they honored Jerry Garcia.

Mule’s tour continues tomorrow night in Lewiston, NY with special guests Galactic.
