Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors and Gin Blossoms shared the a bill at Middletown, PA’s The Vineyard at Hershey on Saturday night as part of the Merlot Music Festival. During Blues Traveler’s performance, Spin Doctors frontman Chris Barron emerged to sing on “100 Years,” a track off Blues Traveler’s self-titled debut. Van Romaine also subbed for Spin Doctors drummer Aaron Comess, who has been on the road with Dirk Erchinger this past week.

Members of the two long intertwined groups have shared the stage a few times this summer, including at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks on July 4 during Blues Traveler’s annual Independence Day show. (This year’s event, in part, celebrated H.O.R.D.E.‘s 25th anniversary.) Blues Traveler’s 30th anniversary run will continue at Waterville, Me’s Opera House on Wednesday while Spin Doctors will appear at Schaumburg, IL’s Schaumburg Septemberfest on September 2.
