The National will return to their old stomping grounds, New York’s Bowery Ballroom, on September 8. The show will take place the day of band releases their new studio album Sleep Well Beast, their first LP in over four years. The National will perform their new album in its entirety during the intimate show as well as selections from their catalog. SiriusXMU will stream the show as part of The National’s week-long takeover starting September 4.

The New York-bred group regularly played the club in 2003 and 2004, but they haven’t returned to the Lower East Side haunt since their five-night run to celebrate the release of Boxer in 2007. They will play a far larger New York engagement at Queens, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium on October 6.
