Last night, guitarist Jimmy Vivino served as musical director for Greg Williamson’s star-studded Blues Revue at New York’s B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, and Gary Clark Jr. made a surprise appearance, joining Vivino and legendary soul singer William Bell on stage.

Also present for the event were the likes of Eric Krasno, Scott Sharrard, Marcus King, Bob Margolin, London Souls’ Tash Neal, Ruthie Foster, Photographer Danny Clinch and many more.

All proceeds from last night’s concert went to benefit the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN, which works to celebrate and preserve the heritage and history of the blues.

In other Gary Clark Jr. news, the guitarist will join the iconic Jimmie Vaughan tomorrow, September 8, for an intimate Speakeasy conversation at New York’s Iridium Jazz Club, an event that will be later broadcast on public television.
