Next month, Sweetwater Music Hall is hosting a special benefit, film screening and concert in partnership with the Mill Valley Film Festival, and the evening will feature a tribute to venue proprietor Bob Weir and his late collaborator and bassist Rob Wasserman, who passed away last summer.

The event, called From California to Haiti, will kick off with the world premiere of Don Hardy’s film Fingerprints, a documentary about two children’s music programs in San Francisco and Haiti “that come together through the universal language of music.”

Following the film, the night’s concert will feature Jay Lane, Robin Sylvester, James Nash, Randy Emata and special guests. Proceeds from the event will go to help Music Heals International, the Bay Area Music Project and the California Film Institute.

Tickets to both the film screening and concert are available here.
