Eddie Vedder Joins Pete Townshend’s Classic Quadrophenia in Illinois

Last night, Pete Townshend brought his Classic Quadrophenia tour to The Rosemont Theatre in Illinois for a Teen Cancer America benefit concert that featured a full stage of performers including previously announced special guest Eddie Vedder, plus Billy Idol, Alfie Boe, the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and the Chicago Children’s Choir.

As JamBase reports, The all-star collective helped Townshend perform all of The Who’s rock opera Quadrophenia, with Vedder lending his vocals to “The Punk & The Godfather, “I’m One” and “Drowned” over the night’s two sets before returning with all of the evening’s guests for an encore of “The Real Me.” Watch a video of that collaboration above.

Townshend, Idol and Boe will round out their Classic Quadrophenia run with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles this Saturday, September 16.
