Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age will team up for a tour through South America beginning February 25 in Rio de Janiero, marking a rare joint bill from two of the biggest American rock acts.

The run will begin in Brazil, including stopsin Sao Paulo (February 27), Curitiba (March 2) and Porto Alegre (March 4) before transitioning to Argentina for a show in Buenos Aires on March 7. Additional dates are expected.

The Foos and Queens are both coming off of recent album releases, with Concrete and Gold and Villains both released in recent weeks. Of course, both bands have an immense history together as not only were Josh Homme and Dave Grohl in Them Crooked Vultures with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, but Grohl also famously played on QOTSA’s iconic Songs for the Deaf record (and most recently …Like Clockwork) during a Foo Fighters hiatus. Both bands will also come together for the Foos’ Cal Jam event later this year.
