Tedeschi Trucks are finishing up their current tour leg before heading to New York’s Beacon Theatre for a six-show residency next month, and the band stopped by Dallas’ Music Hall at Fair Park for a double bill with Hard Working Americans that featured a couple of collaborations during TTB’s headlining set.

Near the midpoint of their set, Tedeschi Trucks brought out HWA guitarist Jesse Aycock for a couple of covers, Taj Mahal’s “Leavin’ Trunk” and Rahsaan Roland Kirk’s “Volunteered Slavery.” After the conclusion of the set, Tedeschi Trucks returned to the stage for a collaborative encore cover of The Rolling Stones’ “Sweet Virginia” featuring Dave Schools on bass and a barefoot Todd Snider lending his vocals with Susan Tedeschi.

Next up for Tedeschi Trucks Band is their six-night stay at the Beacon in NYC, kicking off October 6 with opening act Greyhounds.
