Hayley Jane & The Primates have released their new record, We’re Here Now, and the band’s album release tour kicks off tonight.

Jane and company got the party started early last night, however, opening for Pink Talking Fish at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT, and Jane punctuated the night with a guest spot during the headlining band’s set. As JamBase report, Jane joined PTF near the end of their performance for a cover of Phish’s “The Sloth.” HJP collaborators The Interstellar Dancers also joined the collective on stage, along with saxophonist Dave Grippo, for a run of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House,” with Grippo remaining for Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar” and Phish’s “Stash.” Hear a recording of the full show here.

Below, listen to HJP’s We’re Here Now, which features production from Turkuaz’s Craig Brodhead and guests like Brodhead and his bandmate Shira Elias, Ryan Montbleau and Bill Carbone. The band opens up their headlining dates with an album release party tonight at Stage One in Fairfield, CT.
