In celebration of this weekend’s Cassette Store Day, Third Man Records will release the first three albums from The White Stripes on special white cassettes, marking the first issuing of that music in the format.

The release, which will feature 1999’s self-titled debut, 2000’s De Stijl and 2001’s breakout White Blood Cells, also coincides with the Stripes’ 20th anniversary. A regular black cassette form of the albums will also be released in the future.

Cassette Store Day began in 2013 to celebrate the medium as Record Store Day has been doing since 2007. See a full list of special cassette releases and participating stores here.
