Record Store Day, the yearly celebration of independent music stores and vinyl, will continue its 10th anniversary this year with its annual Black Friday event next month, and among the day’s vinyl offerings will be vinyl releases from the from the Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews, Janis Joplin and Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

The Grateful Dead will release a 5-LP box set including the Wake of the Flood, From the Mars Hotel, Blues for Allah and Steal Your Face albums, with a limited run of 5000 copies available; Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds will offer a 4-LP box set of Live at Luther College from their February 6, 1996 show at the Iowa college; 1973’s Janis Joplin’s Greatest Hits will receive a colored vinyl release; and Preservation Hall Jazz Band will release Run Stop & Drop (The Needle), taken from a live performance at the band’s namesake venue in August of this year. In other Dead offerings, Jerry Garcia’s live album with keyboardist Howard Wales, Side Trips, Vol One, will be released on vinyl for the first time.

Other names included in this year’s releases are Paul McCartney, Queen, Lou Reed, Sufjan Stevens, Blue Oyster Cult, Fleet Foxes, The Byrds, Isaac Hayes, Dan Auerbach, Yes, Willie Nelson, Aretha Franklin, U2, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Doors, Buddy Guy, J Dilla, Ziggy Marley, Lemmy, Bernard Purdie and many more.
